Libyan Desert Glass – A Gemstone from Space

This fascinating pendant made of Libyan Desert Glass (LDG) is one of the rarest materials on Earth – rarer than diamonds and gold. The greenish-yellow impact glass was formed about 29 million years ago by a meteorite impact in the southwest of the Great Sand Sea in the Libyan Desert.

Each piece is a unique natural creation – with its sculptural, organic shape, it's a real eye-catcher and conversation starter.
